Noosa Council as part of their innovative local community engagement were designing and building the Digital hub in Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

The Digital hub offers a cutting-edge workspace environment for local technology entrepreneurs https://www.peregianhub.com.au.

This purpose-built facility was created to house young upcoming and established technology companies and individual workers in an open, modern office environment suited to collaboration and co-working. Naturally with groups of people meeting and collaborating the typical office equipment from computers, to copiers and air conditioning always get a work out.

The Noosa Council engineers had calculated the power use in a technology facility to be high, even in the later afternoon, so a solar and battery solution was desirable. They were looking for a high power solar panel from a leading manufacturer with a long warranty and a well reputed local company like SolarWide to install it and to prove the long term after sales service.

SolarWide recommended the LG Mono X Plus Solar Panels and the Fronius Inverters with an LG Chem Resu10h Battery. The roof was challenging due to an unusual shape and the number of vents, skylights, air conditioning units, etc. But SolarWide’s experienced installers certainly managed to maximise the roof’s solar capacity. This strategy allows the long term savings to maximise, as the PV system size and consumption patterns are aligned.

Noosa Council is aiming to reach Zero emissions by 2025 and this project was part of this plan. SolarWide are regularly installing solar on residential and commercial buildings in the Peregian Beach and Noosa area and are delighted that Noosa Council have opted to go for this ambitious plan.

With Solar Wide from the getgo Warwick guided me through my options for a budget system, Trina panels and Sungrow Inverter. His site visit gave me confidence that the complexities were accounted for. I can’t say enough to praise the quality of the workmanship of the Installation team as they progressed through quite a difficult install due to the type of roof that I have on my apartment. There were some hiccups in the installation of the brackets, due to misunderstanding with the plumber who was installing the brackets, requiring a couple of return visits. They took it all in their stride and completed the installation on schedule. Callan and Brendon leading the team communicated well and progressed the job through its to its conclusion with good humour. Looking forward to many years of good clean energy.
