FAQ
Common 6.6kW solar questions, answered
Is 6.6kW enough for my Sunshine Coast home?
It suits most 3–4 bedroom homes with average daytime use. A pool pump, ducted air-con or an EV usually points to 10.45kW — we size to your actual bill.
Why 14 panels for a 6.6kW system?
14 × 475W panels totals 6.65kW of panel capacity, paired with a 5kW inverter — the inverter is sized slightly below panel capacity because panels rarely hit their full rating at once, which is standard industry practice.
How long does installation take?
Most 6.6kW residential installs are completed in one day, with grid connection approval and meter changeover typically finalised within 3-4 weeks after.
What happens on a cloudy day?
Panels still generate on overcast days, typically 10–25% of clear-sky output. Your inverter and any grid connection ensure you’re never without power.
Do you service my suburb?
Our core service area runs from Caboolture to Gympie, extending out to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Not sure if you’re covered? Ask when you request your quote.
